Now, that is also an old survey. Here is something more recent:

This shows a 77% satisfaction rate - but also could be skewed somewhat by the iPhone being tied to AT&T which is/was notorious for having overloaded networks in the major markets due to, you guessed it, lots of iPhones. Some folks like to blame the phone when in reality, it could be the carrier - especially since AT&T ranked lowest in satisfaction. I have always maintained that is was a major blunder by Apple to tie themselves to AT&T for as long as they did.
I won't point out where your beloved HTC falls in this survey though, but you can find it below Motorola. Maybe you would even be MORE thrilled had you opted for a Droid? cough, cough
But even that survey is getting long in the tooth, since it was last summer. How about something from just a few days ago:
