I had ours act up one time when the planter was just a couple years old. Only right marker would go down. Finished field then took valve apart back in yard. Tiny piece of metal in it, figured it was there from birth and just took awhile to get caught somewhere. So.... like Jim said, very carefully take yours apart and clean it well.
