SC PA | I am going to stick my neck out and say "That is a very good post, jddealer." I also am a salesman. I think a lot of customers get BSed by other dealers and then they don't believe me when I am only telling them the truth.
I have actually been treated the other way around. I am young. Somebody calls and talks to me about something they are interested in. I can give them helpful information. Then they decide to come to our shop and maybe finalize the deal. They walk in the door and say, "Oh, I expected somebody older than you." And I can tell that now they don't trust me maybe quite as much.
Being young and never having farmed on my own I do try to listen and soak up everything that is helpful. That is also why I find AgTalk so interesting.
