Couple thoughts:

1. If it has it's own power, could it be tipped down so the fertilizer would be running down hill rather than up?

2. Call the auger dealer. They may have a good idea or a gear box pto set-up that would run the auger backwards.

Tip it down, Pipe wrench (24 inch pipe wrench), long pipe to use as a cheater. About all you can do is muscle it out there. We had to use a 4WD as a anchor and a come along one time. Once you get it moving then you can use the PTO. In our case we just engage and quickly disengage the PTO., It is not easy on anything. Do forget to say the f word alot, and throwing stuff helps also.

i had an 8 by 51 plugged tight as a nuns.......    with 27 percent corn once.  ended up taking the bearings off the end and hooking two tractors and pulling it apart.  It wasn't pretty as at first i only had a 5610 ford mfwd with loader as the "counterweight" tractor and it wasn't heavy enough to hold it and i could drag the whole thing with a bigger tractor.  I only resorted to this as i could not for the life of me get it to turn backwards even with a massive pipe wrench and a 6 foot cheater.    GOOD LUCK

85 x 13, that is brutal. Years ago we slugged a auger (not that big) with corn and after fighting with it for days we had a crane come in and lift it straight up and the corn came right out the intake. If it was me I would call your local crane company and see if they think they can safely lift the auger without wrecking it or hurting somebody. It should not be to hard to figure the weight of the fertilizer and auger. Good luck, let us know how this turns out.

If it's a PTO, might look for a tractor with a "Ground PTO" that will turn backwards.

Same deal here, had out 8 x 6 taken part into three sections and pulled with several tractors to get it loose. Sticky wet sunflowers.

Use a crane to hang it up and let the fertilizer run out.
I've seen it done a few times.

Have fastened a PTO (male) shaft to the rear axle on a compact tractor, and use the hydro to rock it enough to get it started moving. Have not had it fail yet, although transport auger usage is much less than it used to be.

disconnect the drive for the swing hopper, if it has one? then open the clean out door at the bottom so the fertilizer can drain out/start moving> if it doesn't have a clean-out door, you may have to give it one.

Did you do it or the kid?.....inside joke here.....:>)

Run water down it, the fertilizer will be soluble.

I've also heard of the combine thing. I know a guy who was combining wet corn, plugged a 13x91 I think. Hooked it up to his combine feeder house and reversed it out.

what kind of auger is it? I would also suggest taking of the chain for the swing-out drive. And opening the clean-out hatch. Just engage really slow and it should start... shouldn't be that hard. Iv seen it happen a few times.

I plugged my 10x71 real good once, pipe wrench wouldn't budge it.take off the boot at the bottom and yank the flighting out. I used my truck, hooked to tow hooks on frontend, backing away so I could see good. Idled back, it came no problem. Have fun, I know its not a fun problem to have.

I haven't plugged a big auger like those but have plugged ours on the gravity flow with a small hyd. motor and we just stuck the water hose in the top, turned it on and came back about 30 to 45 min. later. It worked great. Had a neighbor plug a KBH hopper fert. trailer one time and we did the same thing. Pull the bottom clean out if you have one and turn the water on!!!

I agree with premium ag. I have plugged a 10-70 swing with fertilizer a couple of times and that is how we have unplugged it.
