You'll be OK with the 2440. They make a good loader tractor for the use you plan for it. Several of our customers have that model or similar ones with 145 or 146 loaders and do really well with them.
I'm looking for a 145 or 146 loader for my 2030, mostly for light lifting and snow clearing. I've located a 146, but it has row crop mounts with it, 'cause it was on a 3020. Anyone out there have a set of mounting brackets that would fit my 2030? They could be used on a 145, 146, and i think a 148 loader.
