Subject: RE: How do you know what is a good pallet fork?

Just stopped at CAT today, Virnig $750, new CAT $1050, 2 year old rental CAT $750. He did tell me that the Virnig ones were only rated to 3000 lbs. Since we are using a CAT loader he said that they are guaranteed to withstand the operating limit of the loader which is something like 5500 lbs. My problem with using used or homemade forks is that I will be using it to lift a man basket and lifting proboxes, neither one would be good to drop.
