| The kids have a Yamaha jetski they ride around on our farm lake. 2 stroke. 120 hp 2003 xlt 800
The jetski has always been a dog. One cylinder only has compression of 30. They live with it.
But now, every now and then when they shut if off, the starter motor just keeps going! You literally can't stop it until either you disconnect battery or it runs the battery all the way down. This doesn't take long because the battery always seems to be low also at that time. Is this a sticking starter solenoid? Is there any chance that this is just a blown alternator and that the battery runs down to a level that the on board electronics can't regulate engine anymore because it only seems to happen when the battery runs down anyway? It always has the "low voltage" alarm going off at the same time the starter gets stuck. This is weirding me out!
