| Dunno the right answer.... but, why not find out what the rear alxe ratio is? If it's something liveable, then find a good DT466 and a 6 speed, and stuff that in there. The axle ratio may not be that different anyway. Assuming that you don't have a PTO to mess with, then this should be fairly straight forward. The downside is that some of the old low spec DT466's were no ball of fire either. The 427 will pretty well pull right along with the DT466 on the lower power spec engines. The big difference is that the 466 will do it on half the fuel.
Anyhow, that's what I'd look at doing.
Another thing to mention.... and mabey this is stupid.... but has the 366 been tuned up lately? Not something easy like that? Just thought I'd ask.
