| I bought a used Supreme about 5 years ago. Purina had used it on their research farm grinding dry alfalfa. I haven't had any issues with it but tires and the rubber belting around the top. That was an add on and not Supreme, though. Overall, I think Supreme has a very good mixer. The Supremes have stainless tubs and augers. Neighbor who feeds a lot more cattle than I do has a Jay-lor, and it's been good, but is showing a lot of wear, I beleive Jaylor uses mild steel unless you spec out stainless. Roto-Mix has a twin out now that runs with big chains on the bottom instead of the planetaries. Looks good and is priced right. If you do much dry hay, a twin is definately the way to go, especially if you want a smaller mixer. If it is mainly silage and heavy rations then it won't make as much difference. | |
