Rome, KS | Hand cranked homemade ice cream. Who still does it? My grandpa always had a hand crank white mountain. Folks got smart and had an electric. When my wife and I got married, found a near new hand crank. There has been only one time the ice cream didn't get "hard as a rock" several days after putting it in the freezer. I wish I new what I did that one time so I could have that good soft ice cream again. Any one have any ice cream makin' secrets they would like to share?
