SW KS, near Dodge City | Because I know I've never changed the oil in the rear end of this truck. Might be why the seals are going out.
I've never heard of changing it yearly if not synthetic, so what problems are going to come over for a visit, that way I'll be able to plan for them?
Truck gets very few miles a year. We don't really need a semi but the only drawback is tags/taxes, which I can put up with. I'm usually a one-man band, so it works much better to haul a lot in 1 load, rather than 500 bushels twice. Plus, in wheat it can be pretty tough to always be able to guarantee a load every hour if there's no grain cart running (that's what you have to do if you're hiring it hauled). And in those years you can't guarantee that load every hour, you're scratching for every bushel you can get. | |
