There are a lot of websites that use Flash - the fancy ones with crap moving around, game sites, etc. Flash is not a very stable platform - it is prone to crashes and it eats battery life on smartphones. Many browser crashes even on desktops are caused by flash content. Apple decided way back when that they would not support it - therefore, any site with flash content will not load completely on an iOS device. There are newer, better platforms out there like HTML5 that work far better - and Apple supports them. In fact, about the only people out there that think Flash is "all that" is Adobe - and apparently Android users. ;) I've never missed it. I had the option to download flash player on my Droid and never did.
