Hmm, do you remember those gas guzzling pickups from the late 60's through late 70's? I had a 1978 GMC 1500 Sierra with a 350 ci 4 bbl that got 9 mpg on a good day and 7 on most days. It had a 16 gallon tank, and boy did I have to stop for fill ups a lot. If a person, it would have been an alcoholic that hung out at the liquor store a lot. It had a three speed automatic. I remember seeing a few two speed automatics on some mid 60's models.....
