Devils Lake ND | We have had a Geringhoff Rota Disc for 4 seasons now. The three grease zerks can be kind of a pain to grease every day, but would not run any other head. Many neighbors run JDs and the field looks nice behind the John Deere then the Geringhoff, HOWEVER once the field is worked the Geringhoff field looks much more uniform then the JD and the neighbors will agree with that but they just want to run the JD cause they trade often. Both are good heads but we like our Geringhoff. If you do go with the Gerinfhoff I would highly recommend finding somebody who services them and let them go through it every year. (Its kinda expensive but worth not having a breakdown during late harvests). The reason I recommend this is because the knife roller(very bottom one) cost $3300 to replace if the blades get loose and wreck the shaft ( don't believe me call Geringhoff parts) we wrecked three of them the first year running this head. | |
