| Right now, things look pretty average for the fescue. The unirrigated ryegrass looks like crap ,but that's still a hotly debated topic locally whether the water really pays or not. Last the fescue looked excellent, then that heat wave came through with the wind and cooked the seed while in the milk stage.:-( It was a real pain to combine.
I think I may have actually found a variety that is susceptable to apogee damage at an early stage. Dont know yeat for sure if it was apogee, but that field will be the nicest one to swathe and combine this year as far as bulk material is concerned. Right here very locally, we will likely be swathing around the 5th-6th of july. | |
