Subject: I guess I'd have to say..........

it's in the owner/operators theories and methods of operation. When growing grass on a large scale was still in its early learning years, the problems were mostly from stuff like swathing too early to avoid what was believed to be wind shatter, which in turn created light weight seed. Then you had to take in a lot of bulk MOG with the seed to lower your combine loss. Sort of a catch 22 thing, but was mostly unknown in those days. The extra light weight fluffy material is what would cause the problems unloading. Bluegrass still can have problems from time to time. Now days, though there is still very, very much to learn and new harvest practices coming around all the time, mostly the unloading goes pretty much like wheat. Here's a pic from the 2005 fescue harvest locally, as the tank is full and one of it unloading.
