NC IA | I realize that it is not likely that someone would be in the tank with the machine running, but stranger things have happened during harvest seasons - at least here in the Corn Belt anyway.
$10 worth of plastic driveline shield might save a lot of pain for someone in the long run. You never know until something bad happens - and then it's too late.
Looks pretty neat overall. I kinda like the shaft drive. Seems somewhat simpler than all the hydraulic "helper augers" that we have here on CIH and JD machines. Haven't heard or seen much trouble with the hydraulic ones - but if a hydraulic line were ever to blow in a full grain tank, it would dump a lot of oil before the operator might know about it.
I'd say job well done - at least until you see how it works in the field. | |
