its not a hard job at all i use a engine stand when pulling out the pto makes it a little easier the pto unit is a little heavy i replaced the orings on my 986 then a year later i was replacing the o rings on the 1086 and my IH dealer said you have to put new bushing in and i replied the 986 isnt leaking and a week later it was leaking. so i would replace the bushing as well
