Sounds like the pressure may be too high...those old Yorks run rough-a lot of pulsation in the drive. The old JD combines w/the 292 Chevy had that problem, the belt was so long it would whip like hell & fly off if the pressure was high. Cheesy mount for the comp. didn't help either...First thing to look at is the condenser, if it's plugged the pressure will go out of sight w/134, I guess that's what you're running? Second thing is overcharge, as discussed above.
