we were on 30 inch. our first geringhoff was an 8 row 30. i think getting a chopping corn head saves us time it will take alittle extra feul. if you didnt have a chopping corn head you would need to find a chopper and a tractor to put on it, then a driveer. so in the end i think it was the right way to go for us.
