use Mobil 1 in cars and pick-ups. Change every 10000 miles never had a problem. The only valve cover I had off was on the 82 Mercedes-Benz diesel and that was to set the valves every 20000 miles. I traded it off with 325000 miles on it and it still had the orginal timing chain which ran the injection pump and overhead cam shaft.
