The spec rotor will likely do fine as is. If you do have trouble with a hard threshing crop like spring wheat, then a set of aftermarket bars from Marvin Gorden gives a spec rotor some of the charistics of both a std and spec rotor. We use this setup with large wire concaves and 3 cover plates in a 1480 which gives a perfect sample in tough spring wheat. No White caps.
