I had the same problem in a Hagie sprayer. We replaced the receiver/dryer, a binary switch, and expansion valve, and now psi readings are normal and it's ice cold. Appparently the rec/dryer had broken down inside and caused clogging of the exp valve giving the high readings. Must be common becuase my parts book has all those parts circled from the prev owner.
