NC Iowa | Some of the info is not correct in that article. Every secondary filter on a Cummins with high pressure rail system should have a 2 micron filter installed. The primary is typically a 10 micron.
The best thing to do is filter it good before it ever enters the vehicle. Pump should be filtered in a two step program, first a 30 micron and then a secondary 10 micron. In the vehicle use a 7 micron for primary and then a 2 micron secondary filter (if it has one).
