Lapel, In | If its been two years then I doubt if you have any freon left in the system by now.You could just be wasting some expensive R12 if you don't vacuum it down to see where the leak is and and how bad the leak is. Could b e a line is rusted in two.I would make an adapter to hook an air line to the system and check the system with some soapy water if the system has lost all its charge and save the R 12 until you are sure that the leak is repaired. If the leak is very bad, you will hear the air leaking out. Often times a leak will cause dust or dirt to collect there because of the oil in the freon will also leak and attract the dust/dirt. | |
