In the last ~5 years let's say, I've probably done 60 "contracts" locking in prices for future delivery. Figure 2 crops, 5 years, average 6 pre delivery sales per crop per year. (Other sales where the grain is already delivered would be different.) I've signed probably 15 times, at most.
Heck, I'm doing a $500,000 investment on a handshake now.
Has anyone backed out on a grain contract??
