| I'm glad you try.. and seem to do quite well.
My issue with this subject isn't that someone is good at spelling and grammar, or not. My issue is that we seemingly dare not mention that someone has got it very, very wrong, and often wrong enough to confuse their meaning, for fear of causing offense.
And yet we all post here and expect advice and constructive criticism on the correct or appropriate way to do almost anything else.
Not everybody has the mechanical skills to assemble a complicated gearbox succesfully...
Is it important that it be done pretty much right, and to point out to them some glaring major fault..? Damn right it is!!!
Not everybody has the language skills to really adequately convey their meaning clearly and concisely. Is it important to do that as much as possible, and to encourage it in everyone ?
You bet!!
I, for one, refuse to be intimidated by those who, in order to make themselves feel better about failing to measure up in that area, loudly proclaim that good communication skills are not important, Neither will I berate anyone for attempting and falling short, in whatever area they may attempt, be that communication, mechanical skills, marketing, chemical knowledge, or any other endeavor that crosses the pages of this site.
I rely on others to guide me in all those same endeavors, when they see it is required.
