I have no idea how a new Fendt compares in price to a JCB. I did look into the Fendt 926 used, but seemed to be finding quite a bit of trouble with a lot of different areas that scared me. I also talked to a few other Fendt owner/ operators, and they were not overly impressed with the local dealers service department. That did not help make the sale.
I do know that JCB wants to have protected areas for their dealers, and they want you to only buy from the dealer in your area. I had called around to other dealers in WI, and found a wide range in prices on the same tractor. I ended up buying my JCB from a dealer outside my territory, and I am glad I did. The JCB rep and the dealer I worked with both knew I wasn't happy with the local JCB dealer, and allowed the deal to happen.
If you would like to know more about the dealer I work with email me and we can discuss this further. They are also a Fendt dealer, so you may be able to get comparison pricing from them between the Fendt and JCB.
