it appears that all, save one, agree that it would be a good investment to have your own "Drill Doctor" Greg did give a fee amount for sharpening bits and it does seem to make it worthwhile to do your own. I have known folks that can do it just as well or better on a bench grinder with two nuts welded together, or eyeball it, but I have also seen guys screw up good drill bits in short order too. A learning curve to both methods, but both dad and I picked up on it pretty quickly.
