It's okay on the sprayer. When we bought it the self propelled machines which were out there were all pretty expensive and seemed to have lots of hydrostat issues. I thought the direct drive would be a good thing. Considering all the threads I see about wheel motor failures, I think that was a valid postion. The 90" treadwidth leaves something to be desired compared to 120" machines on our terraced fields. The entire machine is quite European....tight, complicated, and hard to work on. It also lives up to the British reputation for electrical problems. I don't think it would be much good on a grain cart. Not near enough power to operate the way I'm accustomed to running one. Also, it lacks a powershift transmission, something I consider mandatory in that application. Re:power.....With 155 engine HP I don't understand how the Fastrac could possible be satisfactory for a transport application pulling trailers like it seems to be intended for. Needs more like 350 hp for starters if it's gonna pull 50,000 lb gross loads at 40 mph. |
