Subject: Front Hood lights on Deere 55/60 series. Aftermarket replacement besides HID

Northern KS
As anyone who owns one of these knows the 3-4 lights on the front of the hood have a spade on the back that slide into a connector. Very poor design. Lights don't seem to last very long and connectors wiggle loose from light as well. Has anyone replaced these lights with an aftermarket rectangular that fits the same hole? Aftermarket probably has a better electrical connector and I would cut Deere's light harness and splice on new ends to power them.

At this point in time not wanting to spend the money for HID lights although I know I would love them like everyone else has on this forum.
