I have 2 300 gallon tanks. I fill them individually, just to make sure I get the proper amount in the whole system and it is mixed well. I also think it is easier to manage filling them individually, not quite as much to worry about. I have to run my left tank return partially closed because the pump pulls more out of the right one and returns the majority of it to the left side. Works great most of the time. You get figured out how your setup handles after the first few loads. Just have to think about what is going on, when you forget to do something it become apparent fairly quickly, lol.
