Year end deals are usually paid for before delivery. Most other items are delivered first and paid upon delivery. If buying from an individual I'll pay first then take it home or on a larger item I need to come back for, I'll wait a few days. I figure he can run my check through his bank and know he has the money before it leaves his place. I prefer to have others do the same with me.
