Subject: Liquid System on a Case 1200

Hope, KS
I have a pto hydraulic system on my Case 1200 planter and am trying to set it up to apply a starter fertalizer. I will be running the liquid system with my Greenstar 2600 display, I have put a JD rate controller, Raven control valve, flowmeter, and boom valves, and a ace hydraulic pump that takes 4gpm oil flow and operates at 1500 to 2000 psi on the planter.

My question is can I plumb the pump into the planter hydraulic system or will I have to run it with the tractor?? I know that the planter has a open center system that has 23 gpm flow but have no idea what pressure it runs at and how much of that flow is required by the planter. If I have the ability where do you get the oil from on the planter? I was planning on placing a needle valve in the line so I can regulate flow and shut the system off if I do not want to use it. I can run it off the tractor if I have to but I have a PT 1200 and it would take a lot of hose.

Also the planter is hydraulic driven. Thanks
