Subject: Best Software for Yield Maps???

TN
I am currently running Apex 2.7 and it does fine for looking at maps and recording field work from our GS2's. However, at the farm journal Corn College, they suggested creating management zones from yield maps using equal points or area (ex. 30 acre field with 3 zones would have 10 acres each) and Apex cannot do that. Also have heard that the 20/20 software can create zones from water holding capacity from soil maps. I am a little overwhelmed by all the software options available. I was suggested to look at Mapshots, and SMS. Has anyone got a system they really like. Zones are probably a different post, but that is confusing too. Everyone says that is the way to go for VR-Planting and sidedress, but no one can tell you what rates to use for different zones.

Anyway, I appreciate and suggestions or info on softwares to stay away from.
