Subject: CORS network

Scottville, 49454 Northwest Michigan
What are the pros and cons of utilizing the CORS network?

I'm in Michigan, supposedly that's an option for us. I'm running RTK with my own base station with the antenna situated on top of our ninety foot silo. I'm utililizing 450 radios. (They were a definite improvement over the 900's.) But I still have connection issues at times. Lots of trees in our area. My furthest distance from base is about twelve miles. I suppose my problem could be the result of losing satellites at times during the day. Glonass would probably be a good solution for that problem.

Would CORS be something I should consider? Again, what we be the pros and cons of this consideration?

thanks, gordon
