Fits what I stumbled upon here.
That is roughly 850 lbs potash.
That fertilizer application for me would be prior to planting alfalfa.
Figure a 5 year stand and 25 tons total yield. figure 45 lbs potash per ton of hay = 1125 lbs of potash.
We are still removing more than we are applying.

From what I can find, alfalfa, with adequate moisture will start to loose yield with a plant level below 1.60% K or above 3.00% K. Potash is very flexible.

As for nitrogen per unit of CEC I figure, HERE, we can apply 25 lbs of N as anhydrous ammonia per unit of CEC.
I would not attempt that back in East Texas.
