In 09 and earlier with GS1, Apex mapped only a few feet off. Last year my seed rate did not record in GS2. I think because I was also recording starter rate and I couldn't record more than one application at a time. My 20/20 showed close to 100 feet rate change lag. The 20/20 doesn't have all the planter parameters entered like the GS2 does. With so many variables, I'm not sure which is correct, Apex, GS1, GS2, or 20/20.
If my calculations are correct at 4.5 MPH, 1 second would only be 6.6 feet. So a speed change of 1 MPH would only be 1.5 foot difference.
Your absolutely right about "the best idea would be to count population after emergence on a zone boundary". I was hoping that someone had already done that.
