Short of having severe compaction such as end rows or paths which have been rode on numerous times with grain carts, trucks, manure tanks, etc I think you're gonna have a tough time finding a consistent 2.5 bu yield gain. We did some side by side checks for a couple years with a Brillion Zone Commander going 20", never found much of a yield benefit. Not anywhere close to enough to pay for the tool, tractor, time and fuel. Of course back then corn was $2. Made planting and spraying a pain in the rear though. |
