EC MN - Hour North of 'The Cities' | Sheldon,
What if you were able to restrip into the row using something that removed the stalk from the ground or turned it into manageable pieces of residue (easily pushed aside with row cleaners, etc.)?
I think Ridge Till has an edge in CTF over Strip Till due to the stalk, but maybe with some modifications they could be even keel?
We've had our Genesis 8670 on 120" for spraying (sprayer was 120"), and the next year we went to a Cat 55 120" spacing with saddles and a 3 point tank/boom. I like the 120" spacing and our current combine is setup the same with bigger metrics on the front.
Going forward I think we will see more use of tracks on planters and possibly the use of larger/taller tires on planters like a GP Yield-Pro or Seed Warrior. 1 set of tires would be tough to handle all of the weight, but it might help remove 'pinch rows' if set up properly.
