Are you dribiling the seed on top?Or putting it in the disk opener?

If your press wheels are going to deep pack the ground before you drill.And pack again after you drill.

I think you could put oats on with a brillion if it has the 2 boxes but maybe a PIA.Actualy you could mix it all together if it has the big box with the aggitator.It would all be seeded at same depth anyway.

To risky planting after june 1.You may get a light rain and it germinates.Gets hot and dry and ground dries out before roots go down and seedling dies.

Never tried the Berseem clover but thought about it.It maybe to competitive with alfalfa seedling.Maybe if it was taken off as haylage or baleage it would be a better option.

I use annual ryegrass for a cover crop.It can be pretty thick cover also.And would be better taken off as haylage but I rd bale it.
