Why not apply 2/3 of your n with the salford and the balance with your planter. You will still get that early n affect without needing to fill the planter so often. In Chester County we are seeing some amazing yield increases with these new vertical tillage tools...even when planting soybeans in corn stalks. Not sure why...possible theory is warmer ground??
