Subject: RE: Crop Spreadsheets for input costs

I am curious as to how I am supposed to figure the equipment cost per acre. All my equip is old, but bought in the last few years, and paid for, and was fairly cheap. Do you guys Just take the cost of the eqiupment cost and divide by acres, then by so many years? I know their is a U ofMN recommended rate they have, but to me that sems way over inflated compared to what my equipment cost. Every one always says you have to add in my time at operator pay, but if I wasnt farming crops I wuldnt get another job as I have poultry and beef. If I wasnt in the seat I would probably be on a couch getting fat watching Springer and his idoit's. So what is a reasonable process to figure my equipment cost's. I want to be as accurate and thorough as possible as I intend to grow, hopefully quite a bit in 2012 and want a good business plan on paper, or pc, for the banker when i need an increase in credit line, if needed.
