Land is a long term investment and should be treated as such.  Prices go up and they go down.  Long as you can pay for it and do not have to sell it does not matter what it is worth at any point in time.  

If they had it to do over again how many farmers would have bought more land vs less in their lifetime?   Think we all know the answer to that one.
