| I should have added that you can force Dropbox to work like Sugarsync IF you store all of your documents in the Dropbox folder(s). Basically, the Dropbox folder would replace the My Documents folder in Windows (or Documents folder in Mac). Any changes or file additions would be automatically backed up. You'd have to set all the applications to point to that folder instead of one on your local hard drive. Disadvantage would be slower access time - since all the files are read/write off the net rather than your hard drive - and no access in the event of an internet outage.
One major advantage would be if you have computers in different locations, all set up this way. All the latest revisions would be available to all the computers through the cloud. | |
