Subject: RE: sanderson/sellick/jcb teleporter

It looks like this will be the way I'm going - 247T sellick - aka sanderson or JCB. It even looks like it will be a deal where I go down to Ky, look it over, pay for it and take it home - that's a lot different than send money then get nothing (my last attempt).

Anyway, this almost telehandler looks to be a good combination of what I need a forklift to do and the extending boom gives me more functionality. I'm getting a short video of it running today to further keep the deal on the 'up and up'.

Also, I'm considering different trailer options. The sellick weighs around 9000lbs and I have a 12K lb tandem trailer (8 bolt hubs which usually means 7Klb axles). I think this combination would work, but I had a hyster A18? (6000lb rough terrain lift) and it seemed plenty heavy for the trailer and truck (I drove 45mph from indiana to central IL and dreded any bump I hit). I guess my question is really whether or not these generic 12K lb trailers are really meant to carry anything near their rating?

thanks,

Pat
