Sunnyvale, CA | If the power source is "dodgy" then the internal power supply for the T2 inside the EZ-Steer controller will cause problems. It is important to not do anything that causes power sags which might cause the T2 fault, like starting the engine or using an electric power appliance that the battery can't easily supply. If the power leads have a lot of resistance because they are extra long and made with small copper wire, then the electric motor might draw enough current trying to steer and cause a voltage sag. The cure is to use 16 ga. wire from the battery to the EZ-Guide/EZ-Steer power cord. If you don't take care of these things first, then a different EZ-Steer controller will probably behave the same way as the one you have. It is a lot less bother to use 16 ga wire than to swap controllers and still have to use heavy wire if the replacement behaves the same. After you have done all that is possible to fix up your installation, and you still have a problem, try a different controller and see how it works compared to your original.. | |
