What I am understanding is, you delivered corn in the fall, and put it on DP at an agreed rate of 12 cents per bushel. They messed up and did not charge you for the DP. They later found their mistake. Their poor handling of the situation is irrelevent. How can you justify thinking you don't owe them for a service you agreed to and they performed.
Cut and dry. You owe them for services rendered.
Yeah. I really don't see what the argument is. Just because they forgot to charge you when they sent the settlement you think you don't owe it now? You both might be better off if you sell your corn elsewhere. |
