I personally am a polaris guy so to choose between the Ski don't and the yammi I would pick the ski don't every time. 3 guys in the group I ride with sent there yammi's packing when they realized how light my new switchback was compared to there sleds that weighed 2 ton!!! Yammi is notorious to have heavy sleds(other than the phazer)...fast yes, but I will lose 3-5 mph any day over having a heavy sled.
My buddy just picked up an 05 ski doo renegade 800 HO (longer track and and more seat room) that just turned 3k miles for $3200
Maybe polaris isn't what you are looking for but they have some sleds without all the bells and whistle and they are "shift" models. They come with reverse and heated hand and thumb warmers but not all the other extras(racing shocks, handle bar risers, etc). Another buddy of mine just sold his 09 600 shift with 2400 miles on it for $3500. They also make the shifts in a 2 UP.
A couple places to start looking are sledswap.com, hardcoresledder.com
