| No. Its a rotary knob on the left side of the dash. You use it to set the speed of action of the PowerReverser, from very gradual to very quickly. If you buy the tractor without it, and find the "one - speed fits all" action of the PR not to your liking, the variable speed option can be added on later.
The 24F/24R transmission is the same as the 12F/12R, except with the addition of buttons for two-speed powershift ( for "inbetween" speeds) in any gear. Like the electric torque amplifier in CaseIH.
